History

In 1962, François Mathy settled in the family property in Hassoumont, near Liège. The Ecurie François Mathy was born. Rapidly it makes a name in the equestrian world by its sports results and by the commercial relations he develops. Relations which, 40 years later, persist. Thanks to the knowledge and qualities of François Mathy, quality horses arrive at the Mathy stable. On the sporting front, François Mathy’s career goes one morestep further with his first participation in the Olympic Games in 1972 in Munich. But the Olympic experience of François Mathy reachs its apotheosis in 1976 during the Games of Montreal. With Gai Luron, he won two bronze medals (individual and team). With a sensibility and an incomparable experience, François Mathy becomes a reference in the equestrian world for the search of quality horses. That is why, over the years, the best riders in the world have chosen to trust him.
